Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Christopher Dorman is Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Tift Regional Health System, headquartered in Tifton, Georgia. He has been with Tift Regional since 2013.
TRHS is a leading health care provider serving 12 counties in South Central Georgia. Tift Regional Medical Center (TRMC), the flagship hospital for TRHS, is a 181-bed regional referral center offering signature services in surgery, oncology, cardiovascular care, women’s health and more. TRHS comprises of TRMC and the TRMC West Campus in Tifton, Cook Medical Center and Cook Senior Living Center in Adel and Tift Regional Physician Group with clinics located throughout the region. TRHS is also a founding partner of Stratus Healthcare and Care Alliance ACO.
Mr. Dorman provides administrative oversight of the hospital system’s core services, including nursing, surgery and diagnostic services. He also oversees facility management, human resources and process improvement.
Prior to joining TRHS, Mr. Dorman worked as an administrator in a CEO development program at Southside Regional Medical Center in Petersburg, Virginia, a 300-bed acute care hospital. He started his career in healthcare as a practice manager at two physician practices and then joined Southside Regional Medical Center as director of the hospital’s wound healing and hyperbaric department, which led to the administrator role.
Mr. Dorman holds a master’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in management and leadership from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. While pursuing his master’s degrees, Mr. Dorman completed a healthcare administration residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in business from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina.
