Vice President, Administrative and Clinical Services
James Nixon, FACHE is Vice President, Administrative and Clinical Services for Tift Regional Health System (TRHS). He has been with TRHS since 2002.
TRHS is a leading health care provider serving 12 counties in South Central Georgia. Tift Regional Medical Center (TRMC), the flagship hospital for TRHS, is a 181-bed regional referral center offering signature services in surgery, oncology, cardiovascular care, women’s health and more. TRHS comprises of TRMC and the TRMC West Campus in Tifton, Cook Medical Center and Cook Senior Living Center in Adel and Tift Regional Physician Group with clinics located throughout the region. TRHS is also a founding partner of Stratus Healthcare and Care Alliance ACO.
James provides administrative oversight for the system’s medical imaging, biomedical engineering, pharmacy, neurodiagnostics, sleep lab, telehealth, dialysis, hyperbaric/wound care, housekeeping, laundry, security and food and nutrition services. He is charged with developing a comprehensive retail strategy for the entire health system to include access, quality and pricing.
James holds a master’s degree in health administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and bachelor’s degree in finance from Mercer University. He served as an administrative extern at Tift Regional as part of his graduate school training.
James is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and is actively involved with many professional associations, including the Georgia Hospital Association and Vizient MidSouth.
