Jay E. Carmichael is Chief of Staff for Tift Regional Health System (TRHS). Jay has been with TRHS since 2016.
Tift Regional Health System is a leading health care provider serving 12 counties in South Central Georgia. Tift Regional Medical Center (TRMC), the flagship hospital for TRHS, is a 181-bed regional referral center offering signature services in surgery, oncology, cardiovascular care, women’s health and more. TRHS comprises of TRMC and the TRMC West Campus in Tifton, Cook Medical Center and Cook Senior Living Center in Adel and Tift Regional Physician Group with clinics located throughout the region. TRHS is also a founding partner of Stratus Healthcare and Care Alliance ACO.
Jay assists the Chief Operating Officer (COO) in the day-to-day operations of TRHS. He is responsible for administrative management, special project coordination and the timely flow of information sent to-and-from the executive office.
Before joining TRHS, Jay served as Strategic Client Executive with Cerner Corporation in Kansas City, Mo. Prior to this, he held a senior management role at Pi Kappa Alpha Corporation, a leadership development organization based in Memphis, Tenn. Jay holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Armstrong State University and is currently pursuing a master's degree in business and healthcare administration.
