The Medical Staff Office of Tift Regional Heath System (TRHS) develops, manages, performs, and directly supports governance, and credentialing and privileging activities related to TRHS affiliated physicians and midlevels.
Our goal is to ensure that all of Tift Regional Health System’s providers are highly qualified and competent to provide the best patient care for our region.
Our professional team supports the TRHS Medical Staff leadership and committees by providing consultation and ensuring its leaders and members adhere to the TRHS Medical Staff Bylaws, Policies and Procedures, as well as guidelines established by external accrediting organizations such as The Joint Commission, State and Federal regulations.
We serve as the hub of practitioner information for our referral services, billing services, nursing services, admissions, telecommunications, human resources, risk management and all departments providing clinical care or related ancillary or administrative services.
The Medical Staff Office functions include but are not limited to the following:
Credentialing and privileging of all physicians, dentists, podiatrists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, certified registered nurse anesthetists, certified nurse midwives and clinical psychologists;
Scheduling, attending and documenting of Medical Staff Committee meetings, as well as working with department and committee chairs to prepare agendas and assure follow-up of items;
