ROBOTIC GENERAL SURGERY

David McEachin, M.D.
Robotic General Surgeon

Dr. David McEachin is one of only two robotic general surgeons in the area performing single-site gallbladder removal and precision colorectal procedures.  Using the da Vinci robotic platform, Dr. McEachin can remove the gallbladder through only one small incision in the navel (belly button).   The da Vinci system can also provide Dr. McEachin greater dexterity and control for the surgical treatment of colorectal conditions, such as: colon cancer, rectal cancer, diverticulitis, and inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease). Surgery to remove all or part of the colon is known as a colectomy. Rectal cancer surgery is known as a low anterior resection.
