Dr. Kaine Brown named a Fellow in Hospital Medicine

The Society of Hospital Medicine's Fellow in Hospital Medicine Review Committee has conferred upon Kaine Brown, M.D., F.H.M. the Fellow in Hospital Medicine designation based on his fulfillment of the necessary application requirements and core hospital medicine competency criteria.  Dr. Brown serves as Medical Director of Affinity Hospital Medicine, dedicated to the delivery of comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients at Tift Regional Medical Center (TRMC) in Tifton.
The Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM) is a professional medical society representing more than 15,000 of the 48,000 practicing hospitalists in the U.S. dedicated to providing exceptional care to the hospitalized patient.  Those who earn the Fellow in Hospital Medicine (FHM) designation have demonstrated a commitment to hospital medicine, system change and quality improvement principles.

Dr. Brown earned his medical degree from Mercer University in Macon and completed residency training in internal medicine at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, SC.  Dr. Brown practiced internal medicine in Fitzgerald for many years before becoming Medical Director of Affinity Hospital Medicine and serving inpatients at TRMC.  He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
