Tift Regional and Cook Medical Center employees participate in storm and tornado recovery

Nurse practitioner Ashley Parrish, NP-C (left) and physician and TRHS Chief of Staff Rubal Patel, M.D. (right) are one of the many TRHS staff members who have volunteered in the storm/tornado recovery efforts.

The thoughts and prayers of the Tift Regional Health System (TRHS) staff go to all of those affected by the recent storms and tornadoes in South Georgia.
In addition to providing aid to patients at Cook Medical Center in Adel and Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton on the day of the natural disasters,  TRHS has contributed supplies to the victim-relief efforts in Cook County.   The TRHS Emergency Management team helped organize the operation of a warehouse in Adel which was used as a central clearing house for donated items, such as perishable food, blankets, diapers and more.  The Cook Medical Center Environmental Services department also cleaned and prepped the facility for use.
Cook Medical Center has also provided meals for relief-effort volunteers and TRHS established a first aid station at the incident site.  TRHS has provided social workers and case managers to assist with victim needs.   Representatives from TRHS serve on the finance committee of the Adel Tornado Relief Fund and TRHS employees have donated more than $10,000.
Our thanks go to all of the volunteers who have come together to help rebuild the affected areas in our community and assist those in need.
