Cook County Commissioners vote to provide support to new Cook Medical Center facility

After hearing moving testimonials from TRHS Administration, Cook Medical Center employees, Medical Staff physicians, patients and community supporters, the Cook County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously on Monday evening (March 6) to approve a memo of understanding which will provide $9.2 million in financial support for a new $35 million Cook Medical Center replacement facility. The City of Adel will provide $2 million.  The Hospital Authority of Tift County will provide the rest of the funding.

It was a packed house at the County Commission office on Monday.  Thanks to all TRHS employees and members of the community who attended and showed their support!   Your efforts have helped lead the way for a new future at Cook Medical Center.
