Cook Medical Center CEO reminds community that the hospital is open for business
05/30/2017

May 29, 2017

I would like to thank the Adel-Cook Cook community for their continued support for Cook Medical Center and the recent changes we have implemented.  Since closing our Emergency Room in March, we have seen much success with the addition of Convenient Care at Cook Family Wellness Center which offers extended hours on nights and weekends.

I would like to take this opportunity to remind the community that although the Emergency Room has closed, Cook Medical Center is still open for business. We offer many services including: acute inpatient care, medical imaging, laboratory services, rehabilitation, endoscopy, sleep center, geriatric psychiatric care at The Sylvia Barr Center, as well as skilled nursing care at Cook Senior Living Center. In addition to convenient care, we continue to provide primary care services for the whole family at Cook Family Wellness Center and Cook Primary Care.

I also would like to thank officials from Cook County, City of Adel, Cook County Economic Development Commission, Adel Industrial Development Authority, Adel-Cook Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Development Authority of Adel, and the Adel-Cook Tourism Authority for their partnership and support for the new Cook Medical Center facility.

If you have any questions regarding Cook Medical Center, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you for allowing Cook Medical Center to continue to provide the best care possible for your family.

Sincerely,

Michael Purvis
