Tift Regional and Chamber of Commerce hold Employer Healthcare Forum

Tift Regional Health System (TRHS) partnered with the Tifton-Tift County Chamber of Commerce to hold an Employer Healthcare Forum on June 29 at the Tift Regional Community Events Center.  Local employers represented included distributers, manufacturers, auto dealers, retailers, school systems, governmental entities, not-for-profit organizations and more.   Chamber Board Chairman Tyron Spearman welcomed the nearly 60 attendees, which consisted of company managers, chief financial officers, HR directors, clinical personnel and other representatives.

TRHS President and Chief Operating Officer Christopher Dorman provided a presentation on TRHS services and gave an overview on the state of healthcare.   Mr. Dorman also facilitated an interactive question-and-answer session on employee medical issues and solicited feedback from attendees on how TRHS can optimize healthcare offerings for local employers.  Topics discussed included convenient care, emergency medicine, disease management, patient access, healthcare costs and related subjects.  “We received some great feedback from the attendees,” said Mr. Dorman.  “Our goal is to collaborate with local employers to cultivate a healthier workforce.  We will be holding these employer forums on an ongoing basis.”
