Affinity ExpressCare holds grand opening 09/12/2012
Affinity ExpressCare held its grand opening, which included a ribbon-cutting with the Tifton-Tift County Chamber of Commerce, an open house, refreshments and giveaways. Affinity Express Care is a new urgent care clinic designed to serve patients with minor injuries or illnesses. The clinic is open seven-days-a-week and does not require appointments.
“Affinity ExpressCare is an affordable walk-in clinic designed to match busy lifestyles,” said Dr. Cameron Nixon, medical director. “This clinic is ideal if a person needs to get in-and-out for a little ailment, especially during evenings or weekends. It provides an alternative to waiting in a crowded emergency room.”
Affinity ExpressCare offers treatment for adults and children over the age of six months for minor conditions such as cold and flu; sinus infections; allergies; minor injuries, burns, and rashes; sore throat; sprains and strains; bronchitis; ear infections; urinary tract infections; and, more.
Affinity ExpressCare is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The clinic is staffed by midlevel providers and nurses under the supervision of the Affinity physicians. Cash, credit cards and most forms of insurance are accepted.
“The clinic is located on the first floor of the Tift Regional Medical Center West Campus and has its own entrance and waiting area, as well as convenient parking,” said Dr. Nixon. “You don’t have to be an Affinity patient to utilize this service; it is open to the general public. If you have an established relationship with a primary care physician and see us after-hours for a minor urgent problem, we will refer you back to your regular doctor for follow-up care.”
