HFA Webinar Series: "Adverse Childhood Experiences as a Risk Factor for Complicated Grief"
Hospice of Tift Area will livestream Hospice Foundation of America's webinar "Adverse Childhood Experiences as a Risk Factor for Complicated Grief” presented by Laurie Burke, PhD and Elizabeth Crunk, PhD on February 20, 2020 from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Dr. Crunk and Dr. Burke will discuss their research findings and clinical implications of the relation between adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and complicated grief in bereaved adults and offer some recommendations for intervention in this webinar, which is part of the HFA Webinar Series. They will also provide ways to incorporate trauma assessment and intervention into bereavement settings. Many of the webinars in this series are geared towards health care professionals and social service workers and count as a Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credit of 1.5 hours for those individuals. Anyone working in hospice, palliative care, counseling, or community faith and anyone working at a hospital, nursing home, or funeral home will benefit from the series. However, community members are welcome to watch the webinars as well at the livestreams provided by Hospice of Tift Area. The webinars are free for both community members and healthcare professionals, and the accompanying CEU credits for healthcare professionals are free as well.
