Infant Care Class
Topics include: feeding, sleeping, diapering, bathing and dressing baby, as well as circumcision and umbilical cord care. Also, learn what a healthy newborn looks like, temperament, crying and comforting techniques, behavior state, and understanding how a newborn communicates. You will learn now to identify when your baby needs to be seen by a healthcare provider, how to choose a pediatrician, and to how to recognize that each baby and family is unique. Fathers, or other support persons, are encouraged to attend. The class is held from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the OB Classroom, located on the second floor of Tift Regional Medical Center (across from the nursery). Space is limited.
