Affinity Clinic recently opened a new urgent care clinic to serve patients with minor injuries or illnesses. The clinic, called Affinity ExpressCare, is open seven-days-a-week and does not require appointments.
“Affinity ExpressCare is an affordable walk-in clinic designed to match busy lifestyles,” said Dr. Cameron Nixon, medical director. “This clinic is ideal if a person needs to get in-and-out for a little ailment, especially during evenings or weekends. It provides an alternative to waiting in a crowded emergency room.”
Affinity ExpressCare offers treatment for adults and children over the age of 18 months for minor conditions such as cold and flu; sinus infections; allergies; minor injuries, burns, and rashes; sore throat; sprains and strains; bronchitis; ear infections; urinary tract infections; and, more.
Affinity ExpressCare is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The clinic is staffed by midlevel providers and nurses under the supervision of the Affinity physicians. Cash, credit cards and most forms of insurance are accepted.
“The clinic is located on the first floor of the Tift Regional Medical Center West Campus and has its own entrance and waiting area, as well as convenient parking,” said Dr. Nixon. “You don’t have to be an Affinity patient to utilize this service; it is open to the general public. If you have an established relationship with a primary care physician and see us after-hours for a minor urgent problem, we will refer you back to your regular doctor for follow-up care.”
Affinity ExpressCare is located in Tifton at 2225 Highway 41 North at the crossroads of Interstate 75 and U.S. Highway 41. To learn more, call 391-4080 or visit www.affinity-clinic.com.
