Simulation Training

Tift Regional’s Simulation Skills Labs closely replicate hospital settings to help nurses and other medical professionals learn and hone clinical skills. Patient simulators react much like a live patient would—they breathe, have vital signs and can voice discomfort. The high-tech simulators are controlled remotely by an instructor, who can alter the mannequin’s physical and verbal responses.

The Simulation Skills Labs are developed to improve and enhance all aspects of medical care, including technical and interpersonal skills in trauma, inpatient, clinic, and office specialist settings. The labs include high-fidelity simulation of trauma and general/medical/surgical patient care.

Tift Regional has four Simulation Skills Labs:

  • ER Simulation Lab
  • Inpatient Simulation Lab
  • Office Setting Lab
  • OB Simulation Lab

The ER, Inpatient and office setting Simulation Labs are located in the Learning and Development Department at Tifton Physicians Center. The OB Simulation Skills Lab is located at the Tift Regional Medical Center Women’s Pavilion.
