With precision instruments and high-tech equipment normally reserved for academic centers, the TRMC Surgery Center is one of the most progressive surgical facilities in Georgia. Located at TRMC on the 20th Street side, the Surgery Center offers impressive operating room capacity, advanced technology and convenient patient access. Services include inpatient, outpatient and minimally-invasive procedures.
The TRMC Surgery Center includes 10 operating room suites, a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and Sterile Central Supply. The patient registration and waiting area is designed with patient convenience and comfort in mind.
The highly-trained surgeons and anesthesiologists on the TRMC Medical Staff are assisted by a skilled team of nurses, certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs), midlevel providers, surgical technicians and more.

da Vinci Robotic Surgery. The TRMC Surgery Center offers the revolutionary da Vinci robotic system for gynecological procedures. The da Vinci System is a sophisticated robotic platform designed to expand the surgeon's capabilities, offering women a minimally-invasive option for major surgery.
General Surgery. General surgery is the surgical specialty that focuses on the abdominal organs. Despite the term "general,“ surgeons that practice general surgery are highly skilled and operate on common abdominal disorders including appendicitis, hernias, gallbladder surgeries, stomach and intestinal issues.
Gynecology. Gynecological surgery refers to surgery of the female reproductive system. It includes procedures for benign conditions, cancer, infertility, incontinence and various other conditions. Procedures are performed by an obstetrician/gynecologist (OB/GYN).
Ophthalmology. Ophthalmology is the specialty of treating conditions of the eye surgically, addressing disorders such as cataract, glaucoma, macular degeneration and more.
Orthopedic Surgery. Includes the surgical repair of bones, muscles, ligaments, tendons and joints. Common procedures include arthroscopic surgery, total joint replacement, rotator cuff surgery, ACL reconstruction, trauma and more.
Orthopedic Spine Surgery. Orthopedic spine surgeons provide non-operative and surgical care for congenital, traumatic and degenerative spinal disorders.
Otolaryngology. Includes the medical and surgical management and treatment of patients with diseases and disorders of the ear, nose, throat (ENT), and related structures of the head and neck.
Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Includes cosmetic procedures to shape certain body parts such as the breast or nose, soften skin tone to reduce or eliminate wrinkles, and to correct problems resulting from accident or disease. Reconstructive surgery can help with the restoration of function or the forming of body parts that have been damaged as a result of injury, disease, or congenital defects.
Urology. Urology is a surgical specialty which deals with diseases of the male and female urinary tract and the male reproductive organs.
Vascular Surgery. A vascular surgeon is a specialist who evaluates and treats diseases of the blood vessels. Treatment can include traditional open surgery and endovascular approaches.
