TRHS Awards and Recognitions for August 2017

Congratulations to the following employees for their recent accomplishments!

  • Krista McPherson, Director of HIM/Revenue Integrity, received an M.A. in Organizational Leadership and Human Resources from Waldorf University in July.
  • Wade Brewer, Director of Technology Services/IT Operations, recently became a Certified Telecommunications Project Manager (CTPM), a HIPPA Certified Professional (HPA) and a Certified Ethics Associate - IT (CEA-IT).
  • Megan Jones and Christie Cummings, nurses in Mother Baby, passed their RN board exams in June. They received their degrees from ABAC.
  • Courtaney Boland, nurse in the OB department, passed her RN board exam in June. She received her degree from ABAC.
  • Ashley Causey, nurse in the OB department, graduated with her BSN in July.
  • Michelle Williford, nurse in the Nursery, graduated with her BSN from Walden University in May.
  • Vernice S. Reed, RHIT, CCA, Coder in HIM Department, was awarded the Champion Award and the Established HIM Professional Award from the Georgia Health Information Management Association at the association's annual meeting in August.
  • Sharmilee Joyner, IT Project Manager in Information Systems, received a Masters of Health Administration from University of Alabama at Birmingham in AUgust.
  • Brenda Stone, formerly in Nursing Administration, has recently become ER educator in the Emergency Department.
  • Jessica Packer, RN with Allure Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, completed RN school from ABAC in May. Jessica was previously office coordinator and now works as RN at the Allure clinic.
  • Michelle Stephens, MRI Supervisor in MRI/Medical Imaging, passed the MRI Safety Officer test in July and is now certified as an MRI Safety Officer.
  • Ashley Rucks, MRI Technologist in MRI/Medical Imaging, passed the MRI Registry in August and is now registered in MRI.
  • Stephanie Mercer, RHIT, CCS, Clinical Documentation Specialist in Quality Management, has been voted as President of the local West Georgia Health Information Association (WGHIMA). She will serve as President for 2017 – 2018.
  • Jamie Branch, Population Health Quality Coordinator in Population Health, passed the Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) exam in August. This exam is administered by the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ).
  • Tanza P. Sutton, LPC in Affinity Behavioral Health, Recently received certification from the National Association of Forensic Counselors as a Clinically Certified Forensic Counselor in July. She was also chosen to present at the National Association of Forensic Counselor Annual Conference in Las Vegas in October.
  • Dominique Prince, RN in the ICU was named Employee of the Month in August.
  • James Mason, RN in ICU received a Masters Degree in Nursing from Walden University. He also passed nurse practitioner board exams in July, with the designation of Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner as credentialed by the ANCC.
  • Katrina Johnson, RN in SDU, received an Associates in Nursing degree from ABAC and also passed RN board exams in July.
  • Rachel Ray, RN in ICU, received an Associates in Nursing degree from ABAC and also passed RN board exams in August.
  • Sarah Goodman, RN in ICU, received a BSN from Georgia Southern University in May.
  • DeAnna Thompson, RN in ICU, received a BSN from ABAC in May.
  • Glenn Josey, RN in ICU, became ICU/SDU Clinical Nurse Educator in June.
  • Caleb Vining, RN in ICU, received a BSN from Chamberlain College in December.
  • Sabrina Fletcher, Clinical Application Analyst in SAM, completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from South University in June.
  • Letinnia Brown, Clinical Application Analyst in SAM, completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Walden University in July.
  • Congratulations to the following employees for completing their Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt training: Christie Collins, Heidi Moore, Katina Robinson, Julie Curry, Dawn Thompson, Frank Goldinger, Kimber Morgan, Amy Fraser, Donna Alford and LaChelsea King.
