Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC)

Patients and their family are at the center of the health care delivery system at Tift Regional Health System. Our Patient Advisors serve as a voice for patients and their families who receive care at our facilities. These advisors work side by side with clinicians and administrators.

Members of our Patient and Family Advisory Council:

  • Attend monthly meetings
  • Provide insight into the patient perspective of care and services
  • Provide valuable feedback on various facility related needs

Pet Therapy Program

We’re excited to provide an Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT) Program to patients and their families for therapeutic purposes. Our AAT Program brings joy to our patients, reducing anxiety and increasing effectiveness of treatments.

All of our canine volunteers and their handlers must be registered or certified by TRHS recognized organizations. To learn how you and your therapy registered dog can become part of our Pet Therapy Program, please contact Volunteer Services at 229.353.7590.

All volunteers are required to pass a criminal background check and drug test prior to service on our campuses. Please note that we do not accept applications for court-ordered community service hours. For more information about our volunteer program or to become a volunteer, please contact Volunteer Services at 229.363.7590.
